Hi! I'm Casandra. I'm a professional creative lifestyle photographer in Sydney, Australia.

Is it a blog? is it a website? Actually it's a blogsite with both combined. Its the best way to keep my current work updated and all in one place. Please click on my portfolio and choose a category to view my latest work, or just scroll.

Photography is my absolute passion, to make the ordinary look extraordinary, the conventional look unconventional, to celebrate the colour of life and the playfulness of love, in all its forms. My work is best described as Creative Lifestyle.... emotive, natural and candid. I am available for Weddings, Fashion and Custom Portraiture.

I take photos almost every day, so this blogsite is to share them and get feedback. I want to hear from you, so leave comments! I will also showcase client sneak peaks and slideshows.

If you are interested in wedding, fashion shoots or portrait photography and would like to get in contact, you can send an email to caspix[at]mac.com or 0404 842410. Get inspired!

    Sweet Forest Baby

Had a lovely playdate yesterday with a few photog friends of mine… one of them being Sam Pearce and her sweet little daughter… captured below … and there is more to follow.

Wow, I won the Centro Smile Photography Competition!

I have had an amazing time with my photography in the last 6 months, it feels like it is soaring to new heights and is very exciting. I was a finalist with Shoot the Chef 2008 and now I am the national winner for the Centro Smile Photography Competition!

I beat 44,000 entries across Australia to take out the $10,000 prize, very happy with that indeed! I also won a small point and shoot camera with a printer. Here is a photo below (thanks to Chantelle) with my big fake cheque and my boys are holding the winning photo… whilst my daughter already has her hands on the camera I won as well and I am not sure I will be able to wrestle it off her now :)

Capture that Summer Feeling Photography Competition… voting lines are open!

I have entered a sweet little summer competition with a prize that I would really REALLY love… so if you have a spare minute or so, would appreciate a vote from you!

The image I entered is the one below…  my husband on Bondi Beach captured on New Years Day 2008… I think it definitely ‘captures that summer feeling’ :)

    Thanks….

And now you are nearly 4

My gorgeous little boy is just about to turn 4! He was 6 weeks premature and finally seems to have caught up in height and weight although he is always on the smaller side.

He is our little peanut and just the cutest little boy. Turning 4 is such a milestone in this family, so different to 3 and just so grown up. He has been telling everyone he is 4 for like the last 2 months, he just can’t wait!

    We love you Peanut!

    Summer comp

Check out this cool summer comp here - am such a fan of Jay’s work, make sure you stay a while and check out his awesome stuff.

Learning how to blow bubbles | Sydney Portrait Photographer

I remember the first time I blew bubbles as a child, and I am hoping my daughter remembers this time as well. There were a few hits and misses in the beginning, but she pretty much got it straight away….. ahh the simple joys of childhood :)

Shoot the Chef 2008 | Sydney Portrait Photographer

Well I didn’t win :) but the dinner last night was fabulous. It was great to meet so many other fantastic photographers and be part of something that had such a great energy to it. It was a real high to see my photo up in lights amongst so many others that were fantastic as well. You can view the photo that I submitted here and the rest of the shoot here.

You can see the winner and other finalists in this Shoot the Chef Slideshow 2008 - my picture is the 2nd one that comes on display after the Caviar face (how creepy is that photo!)

Thanks for all the people that wished me luck as well, it was really appreciated!

A stream train ride through the mountains

We recently spent a lovely weekend with some good friends in the mountains…. here are a few snaps that I love. There were 6 kids all together for the weekend and they had ball! The train carriage filled with this golden light from the setting sun towards the end, it was magic!

Trip to the big city | Sydney Portrait Photographer

Look at these beautiful children visiting from Brisbane… I just couldn’t get enough of their baby brown eyes! These sweet sisters were happy to play up to the camera which always makes it heaps of fun! And little boys and sticks, what can I say! The only way I could get this little man to look at the camera was to ask him to show me his sticks :)

Hope you guys enjoyed your time in the big city and hope to see you down here again! xx

National Smile Competition | Sydney Portrait Photographer

I have been selected as a finalist in the Australia wide Smile Photography Competition …. I entered these two mud covered teens as this certainly made me smile ;) This is what happens when young Aussie girls play AFL in the rain!
